Back in session

We have officially completed one week of the second grade for Tyler, and so far so good. His teacher in my opinion...eh. (Probably one of the most unfriendly teachers ever). I was told he has all the "bullies" in his class. Which I thought, come on they are in second grade how bad can they be, but apparently even the district is aware of these "little rascals," Tyler however is oblivious to them or their supposed mean habits. He loves school, but to him more importantly loves to play soccer at lunch, especially because gets to play with almost everyone from his soccer team. We signed him up for soccer this year for the first time, and last Saturday was his first game. It was great, Wes and April came out to help with babysitting the night before and stayed for his game on Saturday. We, aside from almost melting to death, cracked up watching him. To Tyler he is the greatest defensive player, but really he needs some work. What really matters though is that he did nothing but smile and laugh and encourage his fellow teammates, and to top it all off they won 6-1 with Tyler making one of the goals!!!! It was great. Here's to the start of a good year!
