Christmas time!

So you'd think since I have a new baby I would have a zillion pictures of her first Christmas...nope!  My camera broke so I had to use other families camera's so this is all I have.  Oh well, we LOVE Cjristmas time and loved being with the family!

Christmas morning at my parents, the kids were dying to go downstairs to see all the presents!

Oh the joy of a sleeping baby!

We are so loving little Delanie, so far she is very good.  Tyler is surprised he doesn't hear her cry while he sleeps.  Brinley takes any chance she can get to hold her, and is even trying to pick her up now...yikes!  So life has been let's say bliss during this last week.  The kids were at Grandma and Grandpa Huefner's and Matt was off for the week.  Yesterday was my first day as a real mom of three.  Both Tyler and Brinley had school, and Matt had a big thing going on at work which made him not return home until 11:30pm, and of course Delanie wanted to test me by crying from 6pm until 11pm.  So after doing homework, dinner, baths, a family home evening craft that I promised the kids and putting them to bed-four times, I was happy to call it a day! :)

How come we don't look that cute sleeping?

How happy is she?

Our family has grown by two feet...

Sweet Delanie Elisabeth blessed our family on November 30 at 10:31am!  This delivery was a little different than my last two babies.  To make a long story short, I went in the Sunday before to be induced, and after spending the entire day there on pitocin and other drugs the induction failed and I left with no baby in my arms and tears in my eyes. :( Boo hoo.  So the next Saturday I had some signs of labor which I ignored but later that night called the hospital just to be sure I wasn't in labor, they talked me into going in to be checked and I never left!  At 9am the next morning the Dr. broke my water and at 10:31am she was here!  She is darling, with dark hair (which I love and really hope it stays) and a round chubby face.  Tyler and Brinley weren't too sure about her in the beginning (Brinley basically wanted nothing to do with the baby or me), but by the next day they were very excited to see her and were fighting over who gets to feed her.  We are all doing great, a bit tired but very excited to have this sweet angel in our family.

Here she is, 2 days old!

"Don't make me get to close Daddy"

This is being posted against my will...

So I am hesitant to post this, but have had alot of people wanting me to post pictures of me prego.  Here you crazy people go.  Make a guess, what do you think the sex of the baby is? Weight, length.  I'll even take name suggestions seeing that this baby still has no name.

Happy Halloween!

This was my first year I was home to participate in the kids Halloween fun.  It was so much fun, and so extremely busy.  I first went to Brinley's preschool where they made "silly hats" and had a parade, (they weren't able to dress in their costumes).  Then from there we went to Tyler's school where they had this great party with lots of food and activities for the kids, it was so much fun. Right after school we went to Matt's work where the employees dressed the residents and they put on a little Halloween fun, with games, face painting and trunk or treat.  It was great, they all were in their wheelchairs having a fun time.  The kids enjoyed helping them, and passing out candy to them.  Then trick or treating, and last but not least we all went as a family to our friends for a party! Whew what a packed day, it was a lot of fun, very busy, and we were all exhausted at the end of the day.

Fall fun

For the last couple of years we have gone to Oak Glen to pick apples in the fall.  It is always so much fun to enjoy the fall festivities and pick some great crisp apples.  You can also pick pumpkins, and if you go at the right time there are even raspberries to pick too.  Last year was the perfect time, it was cold and really felt like fall.  My family had never gone before and really wanted to since we talked it up so much, so this year we went again.  My mom and Patrick joined us, Shaun and Rachel had gone the weekend before.  This year the experience was a little different mainly because it was HOT! It was still fun just a little different or can I say a little miserable. :) Always fun though to be out with the family.  Then later that week I went on a field trip with Brinley's preschool to a pumpkin patch, real fun too just HOT and windy!  What's up with this weather, isn't it October?!? Crazy.  It was fun to be with her, they had animals of every kind, a corn maze, (that's always fun with 3 year olds), rides, lots to do.  Welcome fall, I mean any day now, and enough of the 100 degree weather. :) (And yes, in Brinley's school picture I am the loser mom that forgot to put her in her school field trip shirt...great!)

The Egg!

The last time we went to Solvang Patrick said he wanted to get an ostrich egg and eat it, but they closed before we made it sooooo, of course this year he got it.  We first went to see the ostrich's, you would not believe how aggressive they are, we were all a little frecked out by them.  The egg is HUGE, you even have to use a phillips screw driver to break into it, and blow out the membrane...yuck, but once you do they say these eggs are much lighter and fluffier than chicken eggs, I wouldn't know I was too grossed out to try.

Family fun in Solvang!

Every year my family goes on vacation together, this year was a little more hectic so instead of going somewhere far for a week, we went on a weekend trip to Solvang.  It was a blast, Shaun and Ashleigh both had not been there before which is fun to go with someone for the first time.  We did everything from the miniture horse farm, to ostrich farm (they are CRAZY), to Hearst Castle and watching the seals at San Simeon Bay.

First day of school

This year for school has been a big deal since we are at a new school, in a new area, new house and that Tyler has a new person taking him to school...me! :) Brinley also started preschool, which she has been dying to start. They both love where they are and have made alot of friends, and that is comforting to me.

WE MOVED!!!

Well most of you know that due to Matt's job transferring him, we have moved down to Ventura County. So far we really like it. The weather is perfect, the area is really pretty and Matt doesn't have to drive 2 hours to get to and from work anymore which is AWESOME! Here are some pictures from us down at the Harbor.

Summer vacation!

We decided to take a trip the week before school started, which was a week after we moved...crazy. We had a blast though, we went to St. George, then Palm Springs then to San Diego. It was really hot but alot of fun.

Brinley loved being with Aunt Jocelyn, here she is wearing Jocelyn's sunglasses.

The O.C. Fair!

Every year we love to go to the Orange County Fair. The kids love to go on the rides and see the animals, Matt and I love to go to eat. Really, does anyone else go for any other reason? This year we went with Matt's sister Jocelyn and her family, and our friends Nate and Brianne who were down from Utah. We had a blast!
