Tyler turned 6 last weekend, and I cannot believe it. I mean wasn't I just in labor?!? (Sometimes it feels like it :) We decided to celebrate the whole weekend. It started on Saturday when our family, along with my parents and Grandma Jean went to the Carlsbad Flower Farm. It was a beautiful day, perfect weather and all. The kids had fun going thru the farm trying to find orange flags to stamp on their "passport," and when it was full they were able to pan for colored stones. Then we got lost in the sweet pea maze, thankfully we all made it out alive. (Tyler went through twice before we made it through once). Then we were off to the strawberry farm to pick our own strawberries. It was so fun and some of the best strawberries we've had. Tyler liked them so much he wanted to have a strawberry cake for his party. Sunday was his party, it was an army themed party so all the family came dressed ready for boot camp. It was such a hot day, but we still had a blast. Everyone had to go through the obstacle course testing their agility consisting of running drills, army crawls thru tubes, jump rope, pull ups, and of course avoid being BOMBED by water grenades! It was a blast. We were all timed, and the winner was...Ashleigh, with bum legs and all. You go sista! Then to finish off the night we all had a silly string war-what a fun mess. Thanks to all my fun brothers and sisters for being such great sports and participating in Tyler's birthday. I love you guys.
